3D - such a deal? Empty 3D - such a deal?

In an effort to thwart customer perception that 3D is overpriced, and to prove that 3D will take off much sooner than HDTV did, retailer Best Buy and Sony have come up with a great bundle offering.
The Sony KDL-HX800 46" LED HD 3D Edge-Lit 240hz flat panel tv, 2 pairs of glasses, sync bar, and complete 1000 watt surround sound home theater system (BDV-E57) featuring
an internet connected blu-ray player with links to Netflix, Pandora, You Tube, Facebook,Twitter and a few other media providers is bundled and waiting.

Including a sound system is a very smart move imo since 3D bluray audio signals can't be recognized or passed on by just any audio unit. Oh and by the way, special HDMI cables are also required. Sony of course points out that although a 3D Bravia Tv and PS3 are the perfect match, adding a Sony Home Theater system is truly icing on the cake.

Getting back to the bundle - a couple of free 3D movies (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Imax Deep Sea 3D are thrown in. As are two 3D PS3 game demos (MotorStorm Pacific Rift and Pain) and 2 full 3D games (Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD).

Lastly, in-home set up is included..all for $2429.99. Oh and might I mention, 36 months interest free payments.

Im not completely sure about 3D tv yet and my feelings toward Sony are no secret. allgood

That being said - I really like this commercial heehee
